Notice on Issuing the List of 2025 "Challenge-Driven" Projects for Technological Research in Qingdao Free Trade Zone and Sino-German Ecological Park
Recently, the list of the "Challenge-Driven" project for technological research and development in the Qingdao Free Trade Zone and the Sino-German Ecological Park for 2025 was officially announced. The project "Development of Ship Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power System Based on Solid State Hydrogen Storage" submitted by Qingdao Zhongshigao New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully selected, marking that the company's technological layout in the field of zero-carbon ship power has received authoritative recognition.
Under the global "dual carbon" goals and the wave of green transformation in the shipping industry, the pain point of high carbon emissions in traditional ship power has become increasingly prominent, and ship zero-carbon power has become an industry necessity. This project submitted by Zhongshigao New Energy focuses on the development of a solid-state hydrogen storage ship hydrogen fuel cell power system, constructing a complete technical chain of "membrane electrode + stack + system + hydrogen storage", and making core breakthroughs in three key technologies: high-power stack integration and thermal management, long-range solid-state hydrogen storage system adaptation and safety, and closed-space safety monitoring and operation. It will achieve core indicators such as power density ≥ 3.5kW/L, volumetric hydrogen storage density ≥ 50kg/m³, and hydrogen leakage response ≤ 1 second, providing a safe and stable zero-carbon power solution for ships.
The project is expected to have a total research and development investment of 2 million yuan. Once implemented, it will effectively solve the environmental protection transformation problems of the shipping industry and help promote the industrialization development of hydrogen fuel cell ships in China. Zhongshigao New Energy will rely on its core technical accumulation in hydrogen energy and experience in ship power adaptation, collaborate with system integrators and hydrogen storage manufacturers to jointly tackle key issues, and complete the development and delivery according to the schedule.
